I administered an art contest on finartamerica.com. If you don’t already know, FineArtAmerica.com is a social network and e-commerce marketplace on the web. It’s amazing for artists since it’s a great way to promote art work. Furthermore, the contest is called Spring has Sprung Watercolor Paintings. Inspiration is taking over my soul this week. My little sister Aylin and sunflowers are a part of this inspiration. My sister is the sweetest little girl that I have ever met. I am not only saying that because she is my sister, but her actions have made me come to this conclusion. Her heart is nurturing, positive, and caring. In this painting I represent her beautiful caring heart with sunflowers.

Hello my loves,

I want to share my latest painting with you. The painting consists of two bluebirds with a cherry blossom branch. I think I might be obsessed with painting both :P. Not only are bluebirds and Japanese cherry blossoms gorgeous, but they are also symbols of positivity.

This time I added oil pastel to give the painting a little extra something. The oil pastels also added more vibrancy to the painting. I had a lot of fun creating this painting and experimenting with oil pastel and watercolors. 🙂
