This past weekend I graduated from my university. As a gift from family, I received the most beautiful flowers that I have ever seen in my life. I wanted to remember that special day so I painted the peonies.

Hello my loves,
I want to share my latest painting with you. The painting consists of two bluebirds with a cherry blossom branch. I think I might be obsessed with painting both :P. Not only are bluebirds and Japanese cherry blossoms gorgeous, but they are also symbols of positivity.
This time I added oil pastel to give the painting a little extra something. The oil pastels also added more vibrancy to the painting. I had a lot of fun creating this painting and experimenting with oil pastel and watercolors. 🙂

Trapped, Stagnant, and Free is my latest watercolor painting. Cherry blossoms and birds are extremely dear to me. Both are symbols of beauty, nature, freedom, and love. There are three birds in this painting. There is one that is trapped by a small string and cannot fly. The bird all the way to the right is stagnant. It does not know whether to fly or to stay on the branch. The last bird is reaching out and is ready to be free. The blue birds manifested with the painting. I did not plan them. Maybe it is my self conscious telling me something?:P
